The draft Far North Queensland (FNQ) Regional Plan 2025 is now under review after public consultation.

Consultation ran from 12 November 2025 until 5 January 2026 giving stakeholders and residents a direct say in how the region grows and changes, while ensuring regional planning maximises local economic opportunities and enhances the key aspects of the area.

Below are the ideas that were shared during consultation. All posts will be considered during the finalisation of the FNQ Regional Plan, however, please note these comments are not considered as formal (“properly made”) submissions.
